Edco manufactures and warehouses an extensive line of MIL-DTL-24466C green nuclear polyethylene bags, tubing, and sheeting. MIL-DTL-24466C is a 6 mil polyethylene barrier material specified by the US Navy primarily for use in nuclear facilities. This barrier material is manufactured in strict accordance with L-P-378 Type II and is free of any contaminants. Green Nuclear Polyethylene is certified to MIL-DTL-24466C which requires the polyethylene not to have come in contact with mercury or any related compounds. The polyethylene has to meet the MIL-DTL-24466C standard for water-leachable chemical compounds such as Bromide, Chloride, Fluoride, and Sulfur. Like other types of polyethylene bags, an impulse sealer is needed for the final seal.
